Curtis Cutshaw's masterful eye for light and facility as a painter often raises questions of whether his work is painting or photographic. Throughout his career as an artist, Cutshaw has been fascinated with the physicality of light, and the sensation of its alluring movements. Through his extensive process and practice Curtis has developed an unreservedly unique representation of these natural subtleties.

Curtis Cutshaw graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design, and was accepted by the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design's New York Loft Program. In 1989, Cutshaw was accepted and awarded a scholarship to attend the esteemed Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine, USA. Curtis Cutshaw has exhibited throughout Western Canada and New York City. His Work has been collected in many corporate and private collections. Curtis Cutshaw currently works and lives in Calgary, Alberta.
