Tyler Clark Burke’s latest work is comprised of a series of small 3-D laser-etched glass cubes, which are intended to read as a narrative in which imaginary figures are depicted in progressive states of animal transfiguration, trepanation, and death.  Like the nostalgic and somewhat kitschy souvenir products that inspired her mode of presentation, each of Clark Burke’s scenes are captured, and forever contained; Clark Burke’s version, however, reads as an unsettlingly darkened sort of keepsake artifact.
